The part in contact with the eyelid is shiny for better adhesion. The outer surface (where the lashes are pulled up) has two different finishes to experiment with. Each box contains two pairs with a glossy surface and two pairs with a matt surface. Tests during development have shown that some lash specialists prefer to spread their lashes on the matte surface, which gives them more grip, while others prefer to work on a glossy surface.
